The International Center for Spinal Cord Injury represents something remarkable in the field of paralysis treatment: New hope. Until very recently, most spinal cord injury programs have focused on helping patients learn to compensate for injuries thought to be irreversible. Not here.
Directed by Dr. John W. McDonald, the physician best known for helping the late actor Christopher Reeve recover substantial function after his injury, the Center's interdisciplinary team utilizes Advanced Restoration Therapies (RT) that have shown great promise in helping adults and children with chronic spinal cord injuries recover sensation, movement, and independence even many months or years after an injury.
Just imagine the opportunities for you to expand your skills in this exciting new venture while helping patients achieve improved health and a better quality of life.
